Grouping In Excel

Grouping In Excel - Is there an easy way to do this in excel? 1 digit grouping separator is already set in my regional settings but excel doesn't show numbers like that. Let's say i have the following table: Have an excel file that tracks daily dates against a daily metric. My original date data is in mm/dd/yyyy format in a table that is refreshed through an embedded sql script. Clicking the '1' button seems to do nothing. Go to the data tab. Is there an easy way to do this, perhaps with pivot. Excel decides i want to join this somehow to the first one. What i'd like to do is convert the table into weekly metrics.
